Who We Are
Over twenty years ago, the idea for Product Research Gear began: find and evaluate the gear that will stand up to real-world situations and harsh conditions, and offer it to working professionals who need what really works. By evaluating products and gear for a minimum of a year in some of the world’s most demanding professions, PRg has created a unique business that offers recommendations and consultation for people that don’t want to waste their money on inferior products. In addition, PRg offers solutions for companies who want to have their products vetted in the most challenging conditions without spending a huge amount of money in product testing.
- 1st Phase:
PRg conducts an analysis of a prospective company, including its location(s), where products are manufactured, its mission and core principles, customer service policies, customer reviews and product reputation. - 2nd Phase:
If a company meets PRg’s standards, then the gear/product is brought in for physical review and the PRg cadre is briefed. A one month field test is conducted before the product is used in live missions. If the product fails at this point, the evaluation is put on hold and the company is notified. - 3rd Phase:
At this point, the gear/product is put into live missions for the remainder of the one-year field test. PRg is in contact with the host company throughout this 3rd phase, communicating issues, positive findings and any glitches or concerns. At the end of the year-long field test, if the product has passed evaluations, it will become one of PRg’s recommended products and promoted on PRg’s website and other PRg marketing channels. In addition, the company will received recommendations on current research and design and a overview of the final test and evaluation.
